Brazil’s Corinthian Club has unveiled its new SC Corinthians Home Jersey 19/20. The new home jersey from the 2008/09 season is designed to pay tribute to Brazilian legend Ronaldo.
On March 4, 2009, Ronaldo made his first appearance at the Collintian Stadium, opening a new chapter in the history of the Collintian Club. During Ronaldo’s season, Corinthians won the Sao Paulo League and the Brazil Cup. “Alien” also used a goal to show the world his strength again. Ten years later, inspired by the 2008/09 Corinthian home jersey, Nike created a brand new home jersey for the team for the 2019/20 season. The classic black lines appeared again on the front of the jersey.
Corinthian’s Home Jersey for the 2009/20 season continues the classic image of white shirt with Black Jerseys and white socks. The White Jersey has the same black fine lines as the 2008/09 home jersey. The nine fine lines on the chest of the Jersey represent Ronaldo who joined the team in 2009. The New Jersey has a compact white V-collar. The collar breathable band is designed with the traditional black-and-white stripes representing the club. A black Corinthian badge with a number of “9” is added to the collar to show the important event that “alien” Ronaldo joined the team in 2009.
In addition to releasing the new season home court ball, the Arena Ronaldo, named after Ronaldo, will be built on the north side of the Collintian Arena to serve sports enthusiasts in the region. The multi-functional stadium, co-funded by Nike and Corinthian Club, can be used for five-player soccer and basketball matches. Ronaldo attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the new stadium with Usso, an active player of the club.
The New SC Corinthians Jersey uses the same number font as the 2008/09 season, and Ronaldo’s signature is added to the number. The combination of black pants and white socks makes this new home jersey more classic.
