Spain’s Madrid Athletic Club has unveiled its new Atlético Madrid Home Jersey 2019/20. The design of the New Jersey was inspired by the team’s Europa League championship in Hamburg, and from that moment on, the Red and White Legion opened one of the most successful periods in history.
In 2010, Atletico Madrid won the Europa League championship in the 2009/10 season, and the Bedspread Legion won nine Championships in the following ten years (1 League championship, 3 Europa League championships, 1 King’s Cup championship, 3 European Super Cup champions and 1 Spanish Super Cup championship).
At the same time, Atletico Madrid Women’s Football Team also won four championships (three League champions and one Queen’s Cup championship). On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of this historic moment, the New Jersey is inspired by this and pays tribute to the past glorious decade.
Athletic Madrid’s Home Jersey for the 2019/20 season still uses red and white stripes that represent the club’s tradition, and this classic design also appears on the sleeves. The design highlights the connection between the club and the city of Madrid, as well as the origin of the club as a celebration gathering point after the Atletico Madrid club won the championship.
Like previous Atlético Madrid jersey, a small Spanish flag was placed under the collar of the back of the jersey. The new Madrid Athletic Home Jersey will still be matched with blue pants and red socks, socks with blue lines surrounded, showing a full sense of speed.
