Vascoda Gama Club of Brazil and Diadora jointly unveiled the CR Vasco da Gama Jersey 2019/20. The New Jersey continued the classic design of black jersey with white ribbon stripes, and praised the team’s contribution in combating racial discrimination.
Black jersey with white ribbon, Red Cross and golden Pentagon representing honor are placed in the ribbon, and Vascoda Gama’s Home Jersey for the 2009/20 season is still full of classic charm. The New Jersey looks more classical with a white lapel and a Diadora logo with a full sense of retro on the chest. Laser air permeability holes were added to the sides of the body to enhance the air permeability and sweating performance of the jersey. The New Jersey uses red jersey numbers with white edges, and the team logo is added at the bottom of the number.
A specially designed badge was added to the hem of the new jersey, a handshake showing racial equality was added to the red cross, and the phrase “A Histria Mais Bonita do futebol” (the most beautiful football in history) was attached to show the club’s contribution to anti-racial discrimination.
It was the team’s refusal to play in the league in 1924 that led to the abolition of racial discrimination in Brazilian sports the following year, and Vascoda Gama fans are still proud of this history.
